  4. Transportation of kitchen/food waste to Bio-methanation plant.

  6. Removal of carcass from roads.
  7. Paid Services for collection of C&D Wastes.

Garbage collection takes places in the first half of the day regularly.

The solid waste section plays a significant role for restoration and disaster management during natural calamities. The Department ensures timely clearance of debris, carcasses, roads and uprooted trees, etc.

New waste bins will be suplied by NKDA free of cost after getting information from the resident. The resident has to submit the property tax payment details.

Paid Services for disposal of Construction & Demolition Waste

Fee

Rs. 2000/- (Rupees Two thousand only) per metric ton

Procedure :
  1. Application in specified format to Executive Engineer – I, New Town Kolkata Development Authority. Application may also be submitted via email in the following email id ee1[at]nkda[dot]in
  2. Assessment by New Town Kolkata Development Authority (NKDA).
  3. Issue of provisional demand notice by New Town Kolkata Development Authority (NKDA).
  4. Submission of provisional fees as mentioned in the demand notice.
  5. Lifting of Construction & Demolition Waste and weighing of the same at the weigh bridge at CG Community Market, Block- CG, Action Area- IC. Applicant/ Representative may be present there.
  6. Issue of Final demand notice based on actual measurement and adjustment of the amount deposited as per the actual measurement. Excess money will be refunded or shortfall will be recovered.
