The New Town Kolkata Development Authority, Government of West Bengal (“NKDA”), has been constituted under The New Town Kolkata Development Authority Act, 2007 (The West Bengal Act XXX of 2007) for rendering various civic services and amenities within New Town, Kolkata and it has come into effect since November, 2008.

The New Town Kolkata Development Authority Act, 2007, was passed by the West Bengal Legislature and the assent thereto of the President of India and it was published in the Kolkata Gazette Extraordinary of the 30th June, 2008 vide Notification No. 1088-L dated 27th June, 2008.

This Act has come into effect, retrospectively, from 28th December, 2006 and it extends to the whole New Town Kolkata area as described in Schedule-I appended to this Act.

The area of entire township is comprised of 34Mouzas (both part and full) falling in areas of Airport Police Station, Rajarhat Police Station and Kolkata Leather Complex Police Station. The Development Authority has been vested with the various powers and functions under the said Act.

NKDA had initially started functioning from its office at 01, MAR. New Town, Kolkata -700156 and subsequently due to expansion of its activities another office of NKDA has started functioning from 01, MAR. New Town, Kolkata -700156

It is a transitional arrangement in the way of creation of an Urban Local Body (ULB)., is the owner of the Mobile App - One City One App “OCOA”.

This sharing could include entities registered under applicable laws, such as payment gateways and aggregators. It's important to note that as long as you access or use the Platform, you're responsible for ensuring the adequate physical, managerial, and technical safeguards are in place on your end to maintain the integrity and security of your data, including your Personal Information.

   You're accountable for maintaining the confidentiality of your Account information and for all activities occurring under your Account. You agree to promptly inform the platform about any unauthorized use of your Account information or any security breach. It's crucial to log out of your Account at the end of each session. Failure to comply with these responsibilities may result in losses for which you may be held liable, and the platform cannot be held responsible for any resulting loss or damage

   This section underscores the efforts made to safeguard payment information by using encryption technology. However, while this provides a layer of security, absolute protection against unauthorized access or breaches cannot be guaranteed. The platform and its third-party service providers endeavor to protect your information, but they cannot ensure or take responsibility for instances such as transmission errors or unauthorized access by third parties beyond their control.

   To maintain the security of your Personal Information, it's important not to share your Account's security details with anyone. While the platform has implemented reasonable measures to protect your privacy rights concerning the Platform and its Services, they cannot be held liable for unauthorized disclosures made by third parties beyond their control.

   Notwithstanding anything contained in this Privacy Policy or elsewhere, We shall not be held responsible for:

   1. any security breaches on third-party websites or applications or for any actions of third-parties that receive Your Personal Information; or

   2. any loss, damage or misuse of Your Personal Information, if such loss, damage or misuse is attributable to a Force Majeure Event. We recommend that when You enter a Third-Party Site, You review the Third-Party Site’s privacy policy as it relates to safeguarding of Your information. We may use third-party advertising companies to serve ads when You visit the Platform. These companies may use information (not including Your name, address, email address, or telephone number) about Your visits to the Platform and Third-Party Sites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to You. 7. Public Posts: You may provide Your feedback, reviews, testimonials, etc. on the Platform on Your use of the Services (“Posts”). Any content or Personal Information and Posts that You share or upload on the publicly viewable portion of the Platform (on discussion boards, in messages and chat areas, etc.) will be publicly available, and can be viewed by other users and any and all intellectual property rights in and to such Posts shall vest with Us. Your Posts shall have to comply with the conditions relating to Posts as mentioned in the Terms. We shall retain an unconditional right to remove and delete any Post or such part of the Post that, in Our opinion, does not comply with the conditions in the Terms or where applicable law requires us to remove such Post. We reserve the right to use, reproduce and share Your Posts for any purpose. If You delete Your Posts from the Platform, copies of such Posts may remain viewable in archived pages, or such Posts may have been copied or stored by other Users.

8. Your Consent, Rectification and Changes to Privacy Policy:

   Your acknowledgement: All information disclosed by You shall be deemed to be disclosed willingly and without any coercion. No liability pertaining to the authenticity / genuineness / misrepresentation /fraud / negligence of the information disclosed shall lie on Us nor will We be in any way responsible to verify any information obtained from You.

   Withdrawal of consent: You may choose to withdraw Your consent provided hereunder at any point in time. You may do the same by visiting Home page ->Profile->Delete My Account.

   In case You do not provide Your consent or later withdraw Your consent, We request You not to access the Platform, Content or use the Services. We also reserve the right to not provide You any Services and/or Content on the Platform and/or features of the Platform once You withdraw Your consent. In such a scenario, We will delete Your information (personal or otherwise)or de-identify it so that it is anonymous and not attributable to You. In the event, We retain the Personal Information post withdrawal or cancellation of Your consent, it shall retain it only for the period permitted under applicable laws.

   You should be aware that some of the Personal Information that may have been shared on third-party websites may still continue to be available as we do not have control over these websites. Your Personal Information may also appear in online searches. Other Personal Information that You have shared with others, or that other users have copied, may also remain visible. We reserve the right to verify and authenticate Your identity and Your Personal Information in order to ensure that We are able to offer You Services and/or make available the Platform. We can only keep Your Personal Information up-to-date and accurate to the extent You provide us with the necessary information. It is Your responsibility to notify Us of any changes in Your Personal Information. Access to or correction, updating or deletion of Your Personal Information may be denied or limited by Us if it would violate another person’s rights and/or is not otherwise permitted by applicable law.
