The authority of New Town Kolkata has taken various measures for improved governance and ICT under the digital transformation initiatives with its Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) emphasizing on real-time service monitoring, incident response mechanism, and integration of sensors.The services integrated with ICCC includes: (a) AI enabled CCTV Surveillance through ANPR, PTZ, RLVD and Speed Detection cameras to ensure safety and security; (b) App based Public Bicycle Sharing System to monitor 500 bicycles across 29 docking stations in real time across PBS web portal and app; (c) Real Time Passenger Information Display System for Public Buses to track expected time of arrival of 600 buses at 29 public bus stops; (d) Smart Home Tag for tracking of Solid Waste Collection with 2261 Near Field Communication installed at household premises and commercial establishments of New Town; (e ) Toilet Feedback System to monitor hygiene levels in public toilets; (f) Integrated Solid Waste Management with RFID based Vehicle Tracking System installed at all collection vehicles for real time monitoring of the collection process; (g) LoRaWAN based Street Light that can be located online and monitored real time; (i) SCADA based water supply system to monitor water management system centrally and reduce non-revenue water; (j) Live Drone based surveillance through NKDA drones that record several instances whose feed are sent to ICCC for monitoring; (k) 24x7 Helpline- Integrated Grievance Management System to enable Realtime monitoring of the calls and their appropriate redressal; (l) Solar Power Plants Generation monitoring of the Canal top solar power plants at Bagjola Canal and the smart benches with solar panels to monitor the parameters; (m) Weather station of New town for monitoring pollution level in the city.
